J. Brant Phillips

Brant is the founder of Professional Security and Investigation, Inc., with more than 36 years in law enforcement and private‑sector investigative experience. He retired as a Detective Sergeant and is a licensed investigator in NC. Throughout his law enforcement career, he worked closely with numerous state and federal agencies, including the US Secret Service, US Postal Service, DEA, US Customs and Border Protection, and he also served as a contractor for the Department of Defense. He earned the NC Justice Academy’s Criminal Investigation Certificate and the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Brant was recognized as Outstanding Officer of the Year four times and received numerous commendations for his exemplary service. In addition to his investigative work, he is a certified NC Criminal Justice Instructor, unarmed security guard trainer, and lidar trainer. Brant also served in the US Army Reserves.
